Karis House Community Counseling Center opened in 2009 in a house in South City St. Louis, as a ministry of The Journey Fellowship. We desired to provide church congregants and the community with gospel centered, affordable counseling. Our goal was to make counseling accessible to those who might otherwise not be able to partake. We grew quickly, and as we did we also deepened our partnership with the church and provided training in care for pastors and lay caregivers.
Today our mission remains the same in most ways. We want to provide gospel-centered, affordable counseling in churches and communities in the St. Louis metropolitan area. However, we are no longer a “House” but a Network. We have two teams of counselors because we think being in the communities our churches are in is important. We also have added some new services born out of our heart to equip lay caregivers and help churches and other organizations flourish.
From individuals to organizations, our heart is to help people flourish.
Our staff counselors work together to provide professional counseling in person at one of our two locations or virtually in Missouri.
