Jason Thompson was born in Detroit, Michigan, and has lived in St. Louis for 27 years. He earned a BA in psychology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA, an MA in counseling from Saint Louis University, and is working towards a PhD in counseling at the University of Missouri-Saint Loui. Jason has served as a school counselor in several Saint Louis school districts for 22 years and a licensed professional counselor for 15 years. In his private practice, Rapha Counseling & Consulting Services, Jason has counseled numerous children, youth, adults, couples, and families using Biblically-based and other therapeutic approaches to assist them with reaching their personal and professional goals. He has used his diverse counseling experiences to present on various topics at churches, conferences, schools, and organizations. He also teaches school and professional counseling courses at several local universities and received Lindenwood's "Adjunct of the Year" award in 2019.
Jason and his wife, Karen, have been married for 23 years, and they have three sons. Their family enjoys playing games, watching movies, and traveling together.
