By Debbie Irving
Debby Irving shares her journey of exploring and challenging her assumptions of race and culture as a White woman. I appreciate her willingness to be vulnerable and admit how life was different for her due to White Privilege and how sometimes her desire for connecting with diversity was impacted by her ignorance to her own story of race. I was surprised at how her story could help me also accept myself more fully as a BIPOC. I recommend this book for people of all races and cultures who would want to work on their own story of race and culture.
