Amy's passion for counseling began when she experienced care from a counselor. She helped start Karis House because she believes in providing a safe, inviting place for people to experience healing and restoration.
Amy works with women, married couples, and premarital couples. She enjoys helping individuals grow in their sense of self and relational intimacy. Amy hopes that her clients will experience the freedom and peace that come from the power and love of the Gospel. In her work, Amy uses an Interpersonal Process counseling model, which integrates elements of Family Systems Theory, Attachment Theory, Cognitive Behavioral Theory and elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
As a Certified Enneagram Coach, Amy incorporates this training in her treatment when appropriate. She invites people into her office who are experiencing grief, anxiety, depression, sexual difficulties, women’s issues, and individuals desiring to grow in their spiritual formation.
