Taylor Parish is currently working towards her Masters of Arts in Counseling at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri.
Taylor deeply values seeing the individual worth of each person she has the privilege of sitting with. She believes that healing happens in relationship- as we are all created by God for connection. We are not made to do life alone. She thinks it is an honor to help individuals and families discover purpose, hope, and agency, as they do the hard work of restoration and healing. Taylor seeks to make each person feel seen, heard, and known as she sits with others in their story. She works primarily with women, adolescents and children who are struggling with things like anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, shame, relational wounds, identity, self-esteem, and navigating life transitions. Taylor’s therapeutic approach is full of empathy, compassion, and presence, offering a safe place for clients to come as they are.
Although Taylor leans towards a person-centered approach, she also utilizes somatic experiencing techniques and attachment-based approaches, integrating her approach based on the needs of the client holistically. She has a heart to see the whole person (including their mind, body, spirit, and soul) made well. Taylor enjoys spending time with her friends and family in St. Louis. She loves trying new restaurants, going to local coffee shops, hiking, running, traveling, and just being outside. Taylor is passionate about cultivating intentional relationships at her women’s Bible study and her church community.
