Samuel Ivey

Counseling Intern

Sam Ivey is from McDonough, Georgia. He earned his BA in Biology from Georgia Southern University in 2014. After graduating he served with a college ministry in both Cuzco, Peru and Augusta, Georgia. During his time in Augusta, he worked as the Mobilization Director where he talked with juniors and seniors about transitioning to life after college. From this experience, he found that he had a passion to help others by listening to their stories and helping them reflect on their areas of concern to find solutions that meet their goals.

In order to further equip himself for this passion, Sam entered into Covenant Theological Seminary where he graduated with his Masters of Divinity in 2024 and is currently pursuing his Master of Counseling. In using these two degrees, Sam hopes to help people find deeper healing from their life ailments through clinical techniques and spiritual disciplines. Sam’s approach to counseling is integrative as he is a firm believer that lasting change comes from engaging the way we think, feel, and act
